Al Kooheji indicated that the volume of trade between Bahrain and India increased by 30% from 2018 to 2022, which exceeded $1.40 billion in 2022. He pointed out promising investment opportunities in several sectors in India, including the technology, retail, trade, electronics, renewable energy, health care, life sciences, cars, education, precious stones and jewelry, calling on the Kingdom of Bahrain to benefit from Indian expertise in these sectors and to discuss investment opportunities. He stressed that the visit aims at advancing economic and trade relations between the business sectors of Bahrain and India and broaden horizons of cooperation.
For her part, and on the sidelines of a panel session themed “Reinforcing the Power of Inclusiveness”, board member Batool Dadabai expressed pride in the standing of Bahraini women across all fields, noting that Bahraini women hold leading positions both in the public and private sector. She also commended the wise and far-sighted vision of the leadership in Bahrain, which contributed to women’s success.
Bahrain Chamber’s delegation also visited the headquarters of the PHD Chamber in New Delhi, where they met the Deputy Secretary-General of the Chamber Mr. Ranjeet Mehta, along with the Assistant Secretary-General Mr. Naveen Seth, and several members of PHD Chamber. The meetings deliberated about enhancing cooperation and coordination between the Bahrain Chamber and PHD Chamber, exchanging business delegations, and probed investment opportunities in several areas including food and water security, information technology, and renewable energy.
It is worth noting that the Bahrain Chamber’s delegation is headed by the Second Vice-Chairman Mohammed Al-Kooheji, and include board members Ahmed Sabah Al-Saloom, Youssef Salahuddin, Abdulwahhab Yousef Al-Hawaj, Batool Mohammed Dadabai, Ahmed Yousef Ali, and Yaqoub Yousef Al-Awadhi, and several committee members.
