Bahrain Chamber and Businesswomen’s society strengthen ties

Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Sameer Nass, welcomed the newly elected Board of Directors of the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society, led by President Fatima Al Kooheji, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Chamber’s headquarters.

Nass emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Chamber and the Society, highlighting the pivotal role of Bahraini women in economic growth. He noted their strong presence in Chamber committees, reflecting confidence in their contributions. He stressed that cooperation among entities strengthens the economic sector and called for greater coordination, particularly in legislative proposals, to ensure a unified private-sector vision that serves shared interests and supports national growth.

 

Reaffirming the Chamber’s commitment to working with the Society on economic legislation, Nass underscored the need for balanced laws that serve all sectors. He also highlighted the role of awareness and strategic marketing in addressing economic challenges, including unemployment.

 

Al Kooheji praised the Chamber as a key supporter of businesswomen, providing expertise and a conducive environment for their success. She noted that the new Board aims to revitalize the economic sector by empowering young talents and fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs, contributing to sustainable progress aligned with Bahrain’s development vision. She emphasized the need to enhance economic awareness, particularly regarding investment and employment opportunities, as promoting entrepreneurship among Bahraini youth and women directly fuels economic growth.

 

She also expressed optimism about strengthening economic legislation and developing policies that drive long-term national growth, meet citizens’ needs, and advance the country’s economic interests through a strong and lasting partnership with the Chamber.
