Bahrain Chamber Hosts a Panel on “How to Create and Sell on Digital Business Platforms”

The Commercial Market Committee of the Bahrain Chamber held a panel discussion titled “How to Create and Sell on Digital Business Platforms” in the presence of the Committee’s Chairman, Rawwaf Alhasan. The panel aimed to provide entrepreneurs and business leaders with insights into leveraging digital platforms to enhance growth and competitiveness in the modern economy.

 

Speaking at the event, Alhasan urged companies to embrace digital transformation and AI-powered platforms, calling them essential for driving the Kingdom’s non-oil economy and staying competitive in today’s market.

The panel, moderated by Dr. Aisha Bushagar, Vice Chair of the Bahrain Technology and Business Society, featured esteemed speakers Mr. Abubaker Bukhowa, Associate Director of Financial Services & ICT Sector in Tamkeen, and Mr. Ahmed Albalooshi, CEO of Advantari and Board Member of the Bahrain Technology and Business Society.

During the session, panelists addressed the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, sharing Bahraini business success stories to inspire attendees. They emphasized the importance of adopting a digital-first mindset, stressing that businesses prioritizing e-commerce and digitalization are more likely to succeed in a competitive global marketplace.

Additionally, they highlighted key advice for attendees, including the importance of abiding by laws and regulations, as well as preparing themselves and their workforce to adapt to digital transformation. The need for financial literacy was emphasized, with panelists noting that maintaining accurate financial records significantly improves a business’s ability to sustain long-term success. Investments in training programs, such as data analytics and cybersecurity, were also spotlighted as essential to equipping Bahrain’s workforce for the demands of a digital economy.

This panel discussion reaffirmed the Bahrain Chamber’s commitment to fostering innovation and empowering businesses to thrive in an ever-evolving global market.
