On the occasion of Bahraini Women's Day, themed "Women, worthy partners in nation-building,” the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry extends its congratulations to the leadership, the Chairwomen of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), wife of His Majesty the King Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, and the people of Bahrain.
In this regards, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Sameer Nass, praised the vital role women play across various fields and the commendable efforts led by the Supreme Council for Women, under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika, to enhance the status of Bahraini women and motivate them to achieve further accomplishments, particularly in supporting the national economy and bolstering their leadership roles across diverse sectors.
Nass affirmed that the Bahrain Chamber includes a distinguished group of Bahraini businesswomen who have proven their competence and leadership in various areas of work, reflecting a commendable model for women's empowerment. He noted that the chamber's sectoral and permanent committees are enriched by the active participation of women, who contribute significantly to economic decision-making.
He underlined that women occupy prominent leadership positions within the chamber's administrative structure, with women comprising 49% of the administrative staff, and 50% of managers and department heads. Furthermore, women make up approximately 42.59% of total individual memberships, highlighting the chamber's commitment to enhancing women's roles and empowering them as a core component of achieving sustainable development.
Nass concluded by commending the remarkable achievements of Bahraini women over the past decades, solidifying their status as key partners in the state's building and sustainable development journey, and reflecting the wise leadership's commitment to supporting and empowering them to achieve further progress and prosperity.
