Bahrain Chamber receives Capital Municipality Council

Najibi: The importance of developing joint projects that serve the national economy, preserve Bahrain's cultural identity. Tarada: The council works in coordination with the business community to achieve common developmental goals

 

First Vice- Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khaled Mohammed Najibi, emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between the Chamber and the Capital Municipality, pointing out the need to develop projects that serve the national economy while preserving Bahrain's cultural identity.

 He clarified that this collaboration will contribute to achieving more benefits and boosting economic growth, calling for the formation of a taskforce between the Chamber and the Capital Municipality to explore ways to enhance cooperation that serves all parties involved.

This came as the Bahrain Chamber hosted a delegation from the Capital Municipality Council on Monday 7th October 2024, headed by the Council’s Chairman Saleh Tarad, in the presence of board members from the Bahrain Chamber and the Council.

Najibi added that developing the real estate sector, infrastructure, and providing public facilities is among the strategic priorities that contribute to achieving sustainable development. These areas are considered a fundamental pillar for creating new investment opportunities and improving the business environment to attract both local and foreign investors.

He also noted that the traditional and central markets are among the most important commercial landmarks that meet community needs and enhance trade activity in the heart of the capital. The development of these markets aligns with modern requirements that contribute to increasing operational efficiency and improving the shopping experience while preserving the heritage and traditions they embody.

He pointed out that Bahrain has long been distinguished by its effective administrative organization, praising the wise directives of the leadership aimed at simplifying procedures and enhancing work efficiency. He stressed the necessity of continuing such meetings and exchanging ideas between various parties, significantly contributing to the development of Bahrain's economy and enhancing the business environment. This reflects everyone's commitment to elevating the commercial sector and achieving sustainable development.

For his part, Saleh Tarada, affirmed that the council operates according to the directives of the wise leadership, noting that the council's efforts come in coordination with the business community and are characterized by positive interaction with all institutions, foremost among them the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He explained that this cooperation reflects the council's commitment to achieving common developmental goals and enhancing partnerships between the public and private sectors to serve the national economy and achieve sustainability.

The attendees emphasized the importance of cooperation and integration between the Chamber and government entities to realize the aspirations of the governorate, and the importance of working in coordination with the business community through continuous interaction with the Bahrain Chamber. They clarified that unifying efforts between the Chamber and government entities enhances the achievement of common goals, contributing to the development of successful social projects and stimulating investments.

They added that it is crucial to focus on various areas, especially in supporting food security, small and medium-sized enterprises, and public facility development projects, as well as improving cooperation mechanisms between the Chamber and municipalities for investment in public parks, thereby enhancing the quality of life in local communities.
