"Boosting Bahrain’s Food Security through Partnerships and Supply Chain Efficiency"

Chairman of the Food Sector Committee at the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Al Ameen, emphasized that food product exhibitions are a fundamental pillar in supporting Bahrain’s food security. These events offer a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships with international suppliers and secure vital import channels to ensure the continuous flow of food products.

He added, "At the Food Sector Committee, we aim to capitalize on these exhibitions to establish new channels for food supply, ensuring a diverse range of sources and the continuous availability of essential products in local markets. These exhibitions serve not only to showcase the latest products but also to enhance our readiness for future challenges related to food security."

The Bahrain Chamber and Industry has spearheaded numerous initiatives to raise awareness about food security, which encompasses both food quality and safety. Among these events was a collaboration with a Thai business delegation to foster partnerships in food production and trade. This exchange of expertise aimed to boost innovation and productivity while opening new markets for Bahraini products.

Additionally, the Chamber organized a forum on shipping and logistics within the food sector to enhance supply chain efficiency, ensuring that food reaches consumers with higher quality and at lower costs, reinforcing Bahrain's food security.

Furthermore, a seminar titled "Guidelines for Government Regulations in the Food and Beverage Sector" was held to raise awareness on the legal frameworks governing food security. The session emphasized the importance of adhering to health and environmental standards, thereby improving the credibility of Bahraini products and ensuring consumer safety. The Chamber also hosted an event focused on "Procedures for Importing Food Products into Saudi Arabia," aimed at facilitating the export of Bahraini goods by providing comprehensive guidance on the necessary requirements and procedures. This initiative sought to expand opportunities in foreign markets and strengthen international trade.
