Speaking at the meeting, Nass emphasized that the Gulf market has transformed into a highly productive market. He highlighted the abundance of skilled individuals and natural resources in the region, which have played a significant role in advancing the GCC across various economic sectors
Nass touched on the importance of working on creating a database for integrated customs tariffs, implementing a unified system of transit, and adopting unified customs procedures. These measures aim to facilitate cooperation, particularly in line with the terms of the unified economic agreement between the GCC. Moreover, they prioritize the requirements and ambitions of the unified Gulf customs union. Nass also voiced optimism about the private sector's growing role in trade, highlighting its fundamental contribution to economic development objectives.
In addition, the Chairmen of the Gulf Chambers of Commerce discussed the initiative of integration between the Gulf strategies in the industrial, mining, transport, and logistics sectors. This was aimed at boosting economic integration, enhancing the marketing of Gulf products. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of leveraging over 60 special economic zones across GCC countries to promote joint ventures. Highlighting the significance of stronger cooperation between chambers of commerce and executive authorities, they advocated for greater involvement of the Gulf private sector in formulating economic policies and shaping economic agreements.
For his part, First-Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Najibi expressed his deep pride in the strong historical relations that unite the GCC countries and stressed the importance of holding such consultative meetings that enhance joint cooperation between the public and private sectors in order to achieve economic growth in the GCC countries.
