Speaking at the forum, Vice-Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Najibi hailed the growing relation between Bahrain and Hungary across all fields, stressing on the importance of fostering business partnerships and knowledge sharing. He commended the event and its contribution to liaising business owners and exploring business opportunities between Bahrain and Hungary.
For his part, HEPA’s Chief Executive Officer, Gabor Jenei reiterated pride in the Hungarian – Bahraini relations and the growing bilateral trade. He noted that Hungary’s exports to Bahrain amounted to 15 million US dollars, while Bahrain’s export to Hungary reached 8 million US dollars. He emphasized promising aeras of cooperation, calling both business communities to capitalize on them.
Speaking at the meeting, former Hungarian Minister of Economy and Transport, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Cellum Group and Doktor24, Dr. János Kóka emphasized the significance of enhancing economic ties with the Bahraini private sector. He also highlighted the importance of capitalizing on promising investment prospects in order to attain shared strategic objectives between the two nations.
Speaking at the forum, Bahrain Chamber’s board member, Sawsan Abualhasan delivered a presentation about Bahrain’s business ecosystem, highlighting the country’s robust business infrastructure and friendly laws and regulations. She also touched upon the ICT and Digital sector in Bahrain.
Over 40 companies representing ICT, sustainable energy, pharmaceutical, water management technologies and creative industries sectors participated at the forum, shared their business profiles and exhibited interest in building partnerships.
It is worth noting that on the sidelines of the forum, the Chairman of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Parragh László greeted the Bahrain Chamber’s Vice – Chairman, Khalid Najibi for a meeting to discuss creating official channels linking Bahraini and Hungarian Businessmen and deliberate about the areas of cooperation between the two countries.
