This came during a meeting held with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, as part of a visit by Bahrain Chamber delegation to Hong Kong, headed by Sameer Nass. The delegation included the Chamber's Second Vice Chairman, Mohamed AlKoheji, and the Chamber’s treasurer, Aaref Hejres.
The meeting explored opportunities to strengthen partnerships between investors and businessmen through establishing a knowledge hub at the level of both chambers' committees. This hub facilitates knowledge exchange across sectors including construction and real estate, banking and finance, family-owned businesses, IT, and vocational training. Moreover, avenues for enhancing cooperation were discussed, including hosting virtual forums, and exchanging trade delegations.
For her part, Chairman of Hong Kong general chamber of commerce, Agnes Chan emphasized Bahrain's prominent regional and global position. She highlighted the similarities in the business landscapes of Bahrain and Hong Kong, particularly in the domains of family-owned businesses and SMEs. Chan also emphasized the Chamber's commitment to fostering bilateral trade and investment through meetings and events, aiming to enhance partnerships that benefit the private sector and the economies of both countries.
