Montenegro Prime Minister visits Bahrain Chamber, explores economic cooperation

Prime Minister of the Republic of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, along with his accompanying delegation, visited the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he met the Chairman of the Chamber, Sameer Nass, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and joint coordination, contributing to the advancement of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Montenegro towards broader and more comprehensive horizons that serve mutual interests. They also discussed several issues of common interest, expressing their commitment to elevate trade exchange to levels that meet their aspirations, as well as to provide real investment opportunities for the business communities in both countries, thereby achieving their shared developmental goals.


The discussions focused on opportunities to enhance and develop trade exchange, as well as the sharing of expertise between the two countries, particularly in strategic economic sectors that benefit both nations. They also addressed frameworks for economic coordination across various fields, especially given the immense investment potential in Bahrain, which paves the way for increased trade exchange and the creation of strategic partnerships between Bahrain and other friendly countries.


Both sides touched on the possibility of organizing joint economic forums and meetings to connect investors and business owners from both countries, aimed at exploring investment and partnership opportunities in various fields.


Spajić expressed pride in the distinguished relations between the two countries and their friendly peoples, affirming Montenegro's commitment to expanding cooperation with Bahrain across various economic and industrial sectors to achieve mutual benefit and sustainable development for both parties.


He praised the role of the Bahrain Chamber at both regional and international levels in enhancing Bahrain’s position as a preferred center for foreign investment, highlighting the importance of chambers of commerce in strengthening economic relations and increasing trade exchange rates between countries, which serves to achieve sustainable economic development. He commended Bahrain's commercial and investment potential and its commitment to providing a secure investment environment that attracts foreign investments to the Kingdom.


For his part, Nass emphasized during the meeting the importance of strengthening mutual relations with the Republic of Montenegro and Bahrain's aspiration to develop them, particularly in economic and investment fields, in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries and supports their developmental goals. He noted the significance of supporting economic and investment cooperation and enhancing relations with Montenegro across all fields and sectors, benefiting both friendly nations.


He expressed the readiness of the Bahraini private sector to continue expanding trade and investment exchanges and cooperation with the Republic of Montenegro, strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as aluminum, agricultural and industrial production, tourism, and other fields. He praised the dynamic economy of the Republic of Montenegro in recent times, which reflects a trend towards opening up to local markets, urging the private sectors in both countries to take advantage of the investment opportunities that private companies can benefit from, in a manner that serves the interests of the peoples of both friendly nations.


Concluding the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of intensifying and exchanging visits between the Bahraini business community and its counterpart in the Republic of Montenegro to explore the available opportunities and identify areas for joint cooperation. They also emphasized the need to increase mechanisms for joint cooperation in economic fields to enhance the rate of mutual trade exchange, in addition to benefiting from the industrial and technological capabilities in both friendly countries.
