Nass: Strengthening relations with ICC is key to supporting private sector, national economy

Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Sameer Nass, emphasized the importance of developing and strengthening mutual relations with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He stressed the need to work towards achieving more benefits for the private sector and the national economy, as well as improving the business environment in Bahrain. He pointed out that this requires raising awareness among business owners about the mechanisms for expanding into foreign markets and taking advantage of global trade opportunities, in addition to equipping them with knowledge about the risks they may face in international dealings to ensure the protection of their interests.

 

Nass added during a meeting with ICC’s National Committee, that the Chamber continuously strive to activate partnerships with relevant global organizations, unions, and bodies to enhance mutual cooperation and broaden the scope of work, achieving the public interest and supporting the aspirations of the private sector.

For his part, First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, Khalid Najibi highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Bahrain Chamber and the ICC by hosting joint functions that serve enhancing the work ecosystem and cooperation among business owners, while solidifying mutual relations at the international level.

For his part, Chairman of ICC’s National Committee, Rashid Abdulrahman Ibrahim,  expressed his great satisfaction with the cooperation between the Chamber and the ICC, and the strategic partnership between the two sides to achieve common goals and promote economic growth in the Kingdom.  He praised the vital role played by the Chamber in supporting and developing the commercial sector.
