The meeting acknowledged the potential for strengthening economic ties and furthering trade between Bahrain and the United States, noting the current status of commercial relationship, as the total export from the United States to Bahrain reached $539 million during the first half of 2023, while Bahrain's export to the US amounted to $567 million.
Recognizing the importance of capitalizing on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries, Mr Nass and Ambassador Bondy emphasized the need to unlock its full potential to boost trade and create mutually beneficial opportunities for businesses in both nations.
In addition to trade, the meeting delved into various sectors with potential for cooperation and growth. Renewable energy emerged as a key topic, with discussions centering around the exploration of collaborative projects and initiatives in this sector. Both parties expressed their interest in leveraging emerging technologies, promoting sustainable practices, and exchanging experiences in fostering entrepreneurship.
Present at the meeting were also Bahrain Chamber’s second vice chairman Mohammed Al Kooheji, vice-treasurer Waleed Kanoo, Executive Committee members Basim Al Saie and Ahmed Al Saloom, as well as board members Sonia Janahi and Yaqoob Al Awadhi.
