Bahrain Chamber seeks expanding trade, investment ties with Poland

First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chambe, Khalid Mohamed Najibi, emphasized the importance of the economic relations between Bahrain and Poland, affirming the Chamber's aspiration to expand the prospects of bilateral trade between the two countries through enhancing joint commercial cooperation and encouraging the exchange of visits between business delegations.

This came as he received on Tuesday May 28th 2024 at the Chamber’s premises the Head of the Political-Economic Consular and Polonia Affairs Section at the Kuwait-based Embassy of Poland accredited to Bahrain Anna Godoj-Ciszkowska.

During the meeting, Najibi reviewed the services provided by the Bahrain Chamber, in addition to the role played by its 10 sector committees in developing and enhancing economic work. He also discussed the development of the existing economic relations between Bahrain and Poland and explored areas of cooperation and coordination in promising sectors, emphasizing the importance of seeking to achieve more economic successes between the two countries through holding bilateral meetings, exchanging visits, and enhancing cooperation through future memoranda of understanding.

Najibi pointed out that the volume of trade exchange between Bahrain and Poland in 2023 reached $219.14 million, recording a growth of about 35% compared to 2022, where the trade exchange focused on the aluminum and food industries. He also highlighted promising investment opportunities in promising sectors such as information technology, artificial intelligence, financial "FinTech", tourism, food, and medical technology.

For her part, Anna Godoj-Ciszkowska, stressed the importance of enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries in the fields of food products, especially dairy products, as Poland has a strong economy in the field of agricultural products. She expressed her aspiration that this meeting will contribute to raising the level of the solid relations, joint work and strong partnership to achieve the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
