“Bahrain Chamber Wins Skills Excellence Award”

The Bahrain Chamber received the 'Excellence in Skills Development' award at the Power List Middle East Awards 2024 for its 'Star League' project. This prestigious recognition highlights the Chamber's dedication to enhancing the skills and competencies of its employees. Believing in the pivotal role of human capital in achieving its strategic objectives, this award also reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to developing competencies and promoting innovation in the private sector.

Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Chamber, Atef Al Khaja stressed that the Chamber serves as a platform for the private sector, striving to achieve excellence and competitiveness both locally and globally. To reach this goal, the Chamber must adopt a methodology that assesses employee efficiency through what can be described as a competency measurement laboratory.

Al Khaja explained that "Star League" was developed as the first of its kind to measure employees' behavioral competencies, with the aim of achieving the Chamber's objectives in supporting the private sector. The project aims to conduct comprehensive research on the obstacles encountered by the private sector, improve competitiveness to introduce new initiatives, and establish a specialized team to address these challenges. He also highlighted the Bahrain Chamber's ongoing efforts to support and develop employee skills, ensuring optimal outcomes for Bahrain.
