Speaking at the event Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber Sameer Nass affirmed that aligned to Bahrain government’s priorities, the food security dossier is a fundamental component of the Chamber’s strategy, hence organizing such event that encourages liaison between local businesses and their Thai counterpart, paving the way for successful partnerships and investments.
For his part, Thai Ambassador to Bahrain Piyapak Sricharoen hailed the bilateral relation between Bahrain and Thailand, praising the growing volume of trade which exceeded 342 million US dollars in 2022, stressing the importance of further boosting trade between both sides and exploring new avenues of business cooperation. He also commended the Bahrain Chamber for its collaboration with the embassy in hosting such function that serves the interest of both business communities.
Speaking at the event, head of Bahrain Chamber’s Food Sector Committee Khalid Al Ameen revealed that over 25 Thai F&B businesses participated in the function. He also praised the wide turnout of local business owners, which reflects their keenness on exploring business and partnership opportunities. Al Ameen also reinstated the untapped potentials of the food sector in Bahrain, and the importance of consolidating efforts to enhance food security.
